Who we are
Divorce Help Finder (divorce-legal-aid.com) is an independent information website. We are not:
- the Legal Aid Agency, the Ministry of Justice, HM Courts & Tribunals Service, the Scottish Legal Aid Board, the Legal Services Agency Northern Ireland, the Legal Services Corporation, or any other government or public body;
- a law firm, a solicitor, or a legal aid provider — we can’t apply for legal aid for you or act for you;
- a claims management company. We don’t collect personal-injury, employment, housing-disrepair or financial-claims leads, and never will.
We don’t give legal advice. Our pages explain published rules in plain English and point you to official services and free advice first.
How we write and check
- Official sources only for facts. Every figure, threshold and fee links to the government, court, legal aid body or recognised charity that publishes it, with the date we last checked it. See all sources.
- Dated. Each page shows when it was last checked. Figures that change (fees, means-test limits, schemes) are kept in one place and reviewed when the official source changes — and at least every April, when legal aid limits and many fees are updated.
- Free routes first. Every guide puts the official checker, legal aid and free advice ahead of anything paid.
- No invented numbers. We don’t publish our own cost “averages”, reviews, ratings or testimonials.
- Legal review. Our content has not yet been reviewed by a practising family lawyer. We plan to add a named, qualified reviewer; until then we rely on primary sources and say so here.

How the site is funded
Right now the site carries no advertising, no affiliate links and no paid listings, and no solicitor or company pays us. The legal aid finder lists every office in the official directory, ordered by distance only.
In future we may show clearly labelled advertising or affiliate links (for example to online divorce services). If we do, we’ll say so on the page, it will never appear above the free routes or inside tool results, and it won’t change what we write. We will not sell your data — the tools don’t collect any.

If something is wrong or out of date, email hello@divorce-legal-aid.com with the page address and the official source. Please don’t send details of your own case or of any abuse — we can’t advise on individual situations. For advice, use the free advice services.
